Dolma Fund Management was established in September 2014 and launched Dolma Impact Fund I (Dolma I) at the same time. As an impact fund, Dolma I invested in companies that contribute to Nepal’s Sustainable Development Goals across TMT, healthcare and renewable energy sectors and through quality, gender-balanced employment. Further, Dolma Fund Management instils international standards and processes for ESG throughout its portfolio companies operations.
Dolma Impact Fund already had a website, which seems to be hacked, resulting in the website to not functioning properly. Due to the risk on keeping the hacked site on loose, the clients requested on development of a new website, with better security and on a newer technology.
When I checked the current version of the website, it was built on PHP 5.4, which was an outdated version. Therefore, it was time for an upgrade and I decided to redesign the entire website, including a powerful CMS to manage dynamic content, using PHP 8 and Laravel Framework 8.3.
Analyzing all the pages on the present website of the premises, I decided on using the following sitemap to better represent the organization -
Keeping all these requirements intact, it was time to develop the complete frontend of the website along with the respective dynamic backend modules.
The following backend modules were used to create a fully dynamic website for Dolma Impact Fund -
After completely developing the backend of the website, it was time to decide the type of layout to be used for the website. The requirement from the client was that the website had a complete Nepali touch. Therefore, a landing video representing Nepal along with the Portfolio companies of the premises was a must. Likewise, the landing page was used to highlight the major priority sectors, portfolio companies, and latest news/updates of the organization.
The clients were very helpful since they provided the required contents for the website on time. This made it easier for me to develop the website in a total of 7 days.
Getting the opportunity for such a big organization was a big portfolio for me. Positive feedbacks were received from the client after the application had been deployed on production server and pointed to their domain.
